Evangel Christian entered their tilt with Evangel Christian Academy on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Lions 3-0. The Lightning have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Evangel Christian took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-5.

Presley Carroll paced Evangel Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Carroll got some help from Makayla Cranford and her 19 assists. Cranford was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Evangel Christian's win bumped their record up to 19-6-1. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Evangel Christian will head out to square off against Wiregrass at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they will take on Abbeville Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
