Boyceville typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Elk Mound proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

Elk Mound is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Boyceville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elk Mound will head out to challenge Spring Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.13 runs per game on average), something the Mounders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Boyceville, they will head out on the road to face off against Elmwood/Plum City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
