Bacon Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Windham Whippets as the Bacon Academy Bobcats made off with an 18-4 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bacon Academy also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Chris Lusignan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lusignan was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Eli Chiaverini was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Mason Pingree, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.
