Volleyball Recap: Holdrege's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Holdrege had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They came out on top against the Scottsbluff Bearcats by a score of 2-0.

Holdrege easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18.

Gracie Johnson paced Holdrege's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Addy Stutzman and her 19 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lillian Hays and Alainah Salas certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hays had ten assists and six digs, while Salas had seven digs.

Holdrege's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Scottsbluff, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11.

Holdrege didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Adams Central on the 3rd. As for Scottsbluff, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bridgeport on the 3rd.
