While Pilot Point's victory against Valley View wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bearcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Pilot Point got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 18-25, 30-28, 25-20, 19-25, 15-8.

Pilot Point's win bumped their record up to 7-24. As for Valley View, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pilot Point is set to challenge their familiar foe Whitesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley View will take on rival Callisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
