Soccer Game Preview: Colleton County vs. Berkeley

Colleton County is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Berkeley a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Colleton County Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Berkeley Stags at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Colleton County managed to keep up with May River until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougars lost 5-0 to the Sharks. While losing is never fun, Colleton County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while May River are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Berkeley came up short against Cane Bay on Tuesday, falling 6-1.

The Stags' goal came courtesy of Johnathan Hazelton, who's now up to seven this season.

Colleton County's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Berkeley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1.
