After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oakleaf, Fletcher was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. Given the Senators' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 207th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fletcher's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diondre Smith, who picked up 12 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards. The Senators also got a significant boost from Ja'Mez Williams, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 115 yards.

Fletcher's record now sits at 5-2. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fletcher will venture away from home to take on Mandarin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they will take on DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
