Basketball Game Preview: Topsail Pirates vs. Ashley Screaming Eagle

Topsail is 8-2 against Ashley since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Topsail Pirates will host the Ashley Screaming Eagle at 8:00 p.m. Topsail is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Topsail was able to grind out a solid victory over Laney, taking the game 45-35.

Topsail relied on the efforts of Riley Trimble, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points along with eight boards and three steals, and Ava Kita, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Kita a new career-high in assists (seven).

Meanwhile, Ashley didn't have too much trouble with North Brunswick on Thursday as they won 52-33. The Screaming Eagle haven't had any issues with the Scorpions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Topsail's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Ashley, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.

Topsail skirted past Ashley 59-56 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Will Topsail repeat their success, or does Ashley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
