Baseball Recap: Dominguez Comes Up Short

Dominguez lost against Mayfair back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dominguez lost 12-5 to Mayfair. The Dons just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Jaiden Zaragoza and Esteban Murillo did some serious damage despite the final result: Zaragoza scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Murillo scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave Zaragoza a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Dominguez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-5-1. As for Mayfair, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dominguez will square off against Paramount at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
