Volleyball Recap: Verndale Comes Up Short

Verndale lost against Pine River-Backus back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Verndale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pine River-Backus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Verndale will host Henning at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine River-Backus, they will square off against Nevis at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give Pine River-Backus their first taste of in-conference action this season.
