Football Game Preview: East View Patriots vs. Chaparral Bobcats

The East View Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East View is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Georgetown just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 31-8 to the Eagles. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, East View got top-tier performance from Jayvion Clater, who rushed for 121 yards, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-7, which was the final score in Chaparral's tilt against Rouse on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for East View, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

East View didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chaparral in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-33 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bobcats' BRYSON COLEMAN, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 263 yards and one TD.
