Basketball Recap: Keansburg Takes a Loss

Keansburg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls on the road by a 48-34 margin on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Garnet Gulls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-34 on February 1st.

Keansburg's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Point Pleasant Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Keansburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Point Pleasant Beach, they will challenge New Providence on Saturday. New Providence will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Point Pleasant Beach surely won't give up without a fight.
