Football Recap: Deptford Comes Up Short

Deptford fell victim to Bridgeton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 63-0. The Spartans lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-12 score last time.

This is the second loss in a row for Deptford and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Bridgeton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Deptford will take on rival Egg Harbor Township at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bridgeton is set to challenge their familiar foe Triton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
