Football Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Lincoln Tigers

The Wilson Mules will venture away from home to face off against the Lincoln Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Wilson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 40 points back in September, they were much more limited against Franklin last Friday. The contest between the Mules and the Panthers didn't end well, with the Mules falling 21-2. The Mules have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Lincoln played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 35-14 to Eagle Rock. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Lincoln took the loss, they still got scores from Andrew Ayon and Alejandro Cervantes.

Lincoln didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cervantes.

Wilson now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Wilson couldn't quite finish off Lincoln when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 34-31. Thankfully for the Mules, Marvin Gomez (who rushed for 82 yards and three scores, and also caught one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
