Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in April.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Western Reserve Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will take on Brooklyn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Reserve Academy, they will square off against Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
