Baseball Recap: Lake Forest Scouts vs. Mundelein Mustangs
Lake Forest proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Mundelein Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Scouts have posted since April 29th.
Nate Brezak tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
