Softball Recap: Hopewell Titans vs. West Mecklenburg Hawks
Hopewell entered their tilt with West Mecklenburg on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Hawks 18-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 back in March.
Maggie Nelson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nelson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Alexis McLaughlin was incredible, firing off three home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kori West, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Hopewell's record now sits at 11-5. As for West Mecklenburg, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
