Softball Recap: Malone Tigers vs. Bay Tornadoes
Malone had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bay Tornadoes with a sharp 21-4 win. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Tornadoes back in March, they had to take a 19-4 defeat.
Arielle Dickens made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Dickens was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Malone got a massive performance out of Jordin Josey, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Josey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games she's played. A Wesley was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Malone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .818. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
