Soccer Recap: College Station Comes Up Short

If College Station was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Rudder last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The College Station Cougars came up short against the Lake Creek Lions on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Lions are ranked 84th).

College Station dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Lake Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

College Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Creek, they will be playing at home against Brenham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
