Soccer Game Preview: Northview vs. Wilson

The Northview Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Wilson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northview is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Covina just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. The shutout was out of character for Northview seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2025.

Meanwhile, Wilson and West Covina finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Wilson's draw gives them a new season record of 4-10-5. As for Northview, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-7-1.

Northview skirted past Wilson 2-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
