Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Faith Christian extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Gwen Hodson. The Faith Christian Falcons claimed a resounding 56-18 win over the East Moline Christian Eagles thanks in part to Hodson, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Faith Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for East Moline Christian, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Faith Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Galesburg Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Galesburg Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for East Moline Christian, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Pathway Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Moline Christian is facing Pathway Christian at the right time seeing as Pathway Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
