Recap: Block Bears vs. Delhi Bears
The Block Bears lost against the Delhi Bears back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Block ended up on the wrong side of a rough 75-49 walloping at the hands of Delhi. Block has not had much luck with Delhi recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Delhi was led to victory by Jimmy Spruill and Jay Wright. Spruill dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds, while Wright scored 25 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Wright has scored at least 25% of Delhi's points. Another player making a difference was Carvon Percy, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Block's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Delhi, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Block will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Delhi, they will be playing at home against Sterlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sterlington is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
