AAAA Region 3A recap September 17, 2013
Jordan Waters and Raekwon McMillan provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Johnson. The longest such play in AAAA Region 3A this season, the connection resulted in 65 yards.
Liberty County moved up to 125 from 155 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Atomsmashers 40-20.
Waters and Trentice Williams gave Liberty County a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Waters threw for 169 yards, while Williams ran for 80 yards. JaMarcus Latson also contributed to the rushing game with 65 yards on the ground.

Williams was the most successful running back in the league this week.

Tyler Hagan was the best receiver in AAAA Region 3A this week as South Effingham lost to Effingham County. Hagan racked up 4 receptions for 61 yards. Taylor Donavan helped South Effingham's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 37 yards.
The Mustangs' Tyler Pullum and Donavan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pullum has thrown for 443 yards this season, while Donavan has 8 catches for 152 yards. Williams from Liberty County leads the league in rushing with 304 yards.
Statesboro took down Tattnall County 28-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
