Softball Recap: Auburndale's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Auburndale won against Edgar on Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Apaches beat the Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. Considering the Apaches have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Auburndale, bringing their record up to 17-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Edgar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Auburndale has already played their next contest (against Athens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Edgar, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against Chequamegon on the 16th.
