Bethany Christian was the  44-40 winner over Argos when they last played one another  back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bethany Christian Bruins were just a bucket shy of victory  on Friday and fell  50-49 to the Argos Dragons. The Bruins' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jacoby Reinhardt, who  posted 16  points and six  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Trey Caffee, who  earned 12 points.
 Even though they lost, Bethany Christian  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've managed all season.
  Luke Stults was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 27  points and 13  boards for Argos. Stults' evening made it seven games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mack Calhoun, who  put up four  points and five  rebounds.
Bethany Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Argos, they moved to 1-7 with that  win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.
 Bethany Christian will square off against South Bend Career Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Argos, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  58-28  loss against Plymouth on the 11th.
