Baseball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Crusaders vs. Stringer Red Devils

The Sacred Heart Crusaders will head out to challenge the Stringer Red Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sacred Heart will be strutting in after a win while Stringer will be coming in after a loss.

Sacred Heart took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Gautier, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Gators 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crusaders have posted since April 11, 2025.

Sacred Heart's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Levi Green, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Green has posted since back in April of 2025. Another was Colter Garner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Stringer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Clarkdale, falling 14-0.

Stringer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sacred Heart, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Sacred Heart was able to grind out a solid win over Stringer in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 5-2. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
