Somerset came tearing into Friday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 42-37 W over the Pleasanton Eagles. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Eagles are ranked 831st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
