KIPP Nashville Collegiate came into Friday's game looking for another win against Stratford, but Mitchell Gatewood wouldn't allow it. The Stratford Spartans walked away with a 57-50 victory over the KIPP Nashville Collegiate Warriors on Friday thanks in part to Gatewood, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high.

KIPP Nashville Collegiate lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyshaun Braden, who had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Bell, who scored 12 points.

Stratford's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, they dropped their record down to 9-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing East Nashville Magnet the next time they take the court. KIPP Nashville Collegiate will host East Nashville Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Stratford will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
