Volleyball Recap: Osceola Comes Up Short

After flying high against Prescott on Thursday, Osceola came back down to earth. The Chieftains fell 2-0 to the Bloomer Blackhawks on Saturday. The Chieftains were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackhawks earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Harper Gibson paced Osceola's offense, picking up six kills. Gibson got some help from Addison Symons and her 13 assists. Gibson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Osceola has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Bloomer, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Osceola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against New Richmond on the 20th. As for Bloomer, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Elk Mound on the 20th.
