Basketball Game Preview: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. North Florida Christian Eagles

The Taylor County Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the North Florida Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Florida Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Taylor County, who comes in off a win.

Taylor County took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Hamilton County by a score of 70-59.

Meanwhile, North Florida Christian came up short against Chiles on Tuesday and fell 62-50. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylor County will have to keep a close watch on Jed Dickens and Jace Riggan, a pair of players who had a big impact on North Florida Christian's prior game. Dickens dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Riggan posted 20 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Parker Freeland, who put up six points and five rebounds.

The win got Taylor County back to even at 6-6. As for North Florida Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Taylor County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Florida Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
