DSST: Green Valley Ranch had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They walked away with a 51-40 win over the Denver West Cowboys.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Abankwa, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Skyyaire Russell, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six assists.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver West only racked up four assists.

Denver West's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaheim Taylor, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Taylor has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Parker, who put up seven points and seven boards.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Denver West, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-2.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch and Denver West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. DSST: Green Valley Ranch (ranked 68th) will meet Kennedy (ranked 311th) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
