Volleyball Game Preview: Houston Hawks vs. Redington Huskies

The Houston Hawks will face off against the Redington Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Houston turned things around against Hutchison on Thursday. They blew past Hutchison 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for Houston this season.

Houston's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hutchison to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Redington posted their closest victory since October 8, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past Cook Inlet Academy 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Redington who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 15-25, 15-12.

Redington's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Houston, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Houston came out on top in a nail-biter against Redington in their previous matchup on September 5th, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
