Volleyball Preview: Lamesa Tornadoes vs. Big Spring Steers

After both having extra time off, the Lamesa Tornadoes and the Big Spring Steers will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamesa is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.

Lamesa lost 3-0 to Idalou on Tuesday.

While Lamesa was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Idalou's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Big Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Coahoma.

While Big Spring had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 13 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 28-14.

Lamesa's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Big Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
