Lamar had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Salida Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Lamar had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-18.
Addy Krug paced Lamar's offense, picking up 23 kills. Krug got some help from Abygail Gonzales and her 37 assists. Gonzales was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
