Baseball Recap: Inter-Lakes Comes Up Short

Inter-Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Fall Mountain Wildcats, falling 14-8.

Brogan Donnelly was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Donnelly wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Palsgrove, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Alec Adorno was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Inter-Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Fall Mountain, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Inter-Lakes is taking a road trip to take on Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fall Mountain, they will welcome Winnisquam at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
