Banner County hadn't done well against Creek Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Storm by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Storm, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Banner County easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11.

Kyrie Roldan paced Banner County's offense, picking up five kills. Roldan got some help from Leeigh McGowan and her six assists. Kassie Loutzenhiser and Makynna Boettcher kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Banner County's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Creek Valley, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Banner County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Minatare on the 18th. As for Creek Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Peetz on the 23rd.
