Union hasn't had much luck against Shenandoah recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 1:30 p.m. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Glory Ellis and Gabbi Patrick.
Last Saturday, Union had to suffer through a 54-27 loss at the hands of Muncie Central.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ellis, who posted eight points along with 12 rebounds and eight blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last nine games she's played.
Meanwhile, Shenandoah entered their tilt with Wes-Del last Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-11 victory over the Warriors. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.
Union better keep an eye on Patrick. She was instrumental in Shenandoah's win, going 5 of 12 on her way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayci Hill, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points.
Shenandoah was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wes-Del only posted two assists.
Shenandoah pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Union has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Shenandoah struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
