Fremont gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves to the tune of 42-6. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won three in a row.

Fremont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carmyne Moreno out in front who rushed for 139 yards on only 12 carries. Jaret Laughlin was another key signal caller, throwing for 111 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fremont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian only rushed for 160 rushing yards.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dylan Grimes, who rushed for 57 yards and one score, and Chip Bennett, who rushed for 101 yards.

Fremont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 63-21 victory against Blackford on the 29th. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-12 win against Southern Wells on the 29th.
