Soccer Recap: Tishomingo County Takes a Loss

Tishomingo County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Itawamba Agricultural Indians, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Indians are ranked 44th).

Tishomingo County's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season.

Tishomingo County will be playing in front of their home fans against Shannon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they will challenge Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lafayette comes in on three and Itawamba Agricultural on six.
