The Hansen Huskies will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against the Richfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Hansen is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of Rimrock on Friday. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Richfield couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 44-22 to Challis on Friday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak dating back to last season.
Despite their loss, Richfield saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Devin Scott, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 116 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Jace Fuchs was in the mix as well, providing Richfield with two touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Richfield's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Challis' QB won't forget Tayson Telford anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Telford also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks, making six total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending a pass.
