Pike Road is a perfect 4-0 against Russell County since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Patriots will welcome the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pike Road fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Central on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 4-3. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Brandt Springer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Pike Road saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinton Robinson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Russell County's offense. They came up short against Troup County on Saturday, falling 7-0. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Russell County's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Pike Road, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-19.

Pike Road came out on top in a nail-biter against Russell County in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
