Basketball Recap: Nederland Comes Up Short

Nederland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Barbers Hill Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Eagles since February 2, 2021.

Nederland's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Barbers Hill, they pushed their record up to 21-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Nederland will face off against Beaumont United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barbers Hill, they will take on West Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
