Baseball Game Preview: Kearns Cougars vs. Granger Lancers

The Kearns Cougars will face off against the Granger Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Kearns and 14 for Granger dating back to last season.

Kearns came up short against Murray on Friday, falling 7-1.

Daymin Ward made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bostyn Ward also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Granger lost 13-1 to Cyprus on Friday.

Granger saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taviahn Pickering, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Granger's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Kearns, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
