Baseball Recap: Mainland Takes a Loss

If Mainland was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Father Lopez last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buccaneers came up short against the Deltona Wolves on Monday, falling 14-6. The loss continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost five in a row.

Ryan Allen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Mainland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Deltona, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Coincidentally, Mainland and Deltona will both be playing Taylor the next time they take the field. The Wolves will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Buccaneers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
