Basketball Recap: Antioch Comes Up Short

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grayslake Central Rams. The Sequoits were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Antioch's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-8. As for Grayslake Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Antioch will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grayslake Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Grant Community at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
