Baseball Game Preview: Richland Bombers vs. Woodinville Falcons

The Richland Bombers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Woodinville Falcons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Woodinville will be up against a hot Richland squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 29. Richland put the hurt on Hanford with a sharp 13-3 win on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Woodinville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They beat Redmond by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Levi Grothen looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Connor Hennessy was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Noah Vaiphei, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Richland's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.5 runs. As for Woodinville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Richland was able to grind out a solid win over Woodinville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 7-4. Will Richland repeat their success, or does Woodinville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
