DeSoto and Windsor are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Dragons will face off against the Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

DeSoto is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Parkway Central on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Windsor earned a 7-3 win over Herculaneum on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Black Cats: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cole Scott, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Estopare, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Windsor lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

DeSoto's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Windsor, their record now sits at an identical 8-13.

DeSoto skirted past Windsor 2-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
