Volleyball Recap: Bret Harte Comes Up Short

Bret Harte lost against Calaveras back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bullfrogs came up short against the Red Hawks, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bullfrogs have suffered against the Red Hawks since October 21, 2021.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 29-27.

This is the second loss in a row for Bret Harte and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Calaveras, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bret Harte is set to face off against their familiar foe Linden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Calaveras will challenge rival Summerville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
