Bishop Carroll benefitted from Newell in 10-0 victory
Porter Newell produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bishop Carroll to the win on Thursday. Newell was dynamite, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Newell's strong effort led Bishop Carroll over North and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Carroll is 9-0 against North going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
