Basketball Game Preview: Wartburg Central Bulldogs vs. Sunbright Tigers

Wartburg Central hasn't had much luck against Sunbright recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wartburg Central Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Sunbright Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Wartburg Central lost to Oakdale at home by a 49-32 margin. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by Myrah Hood, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sunbright's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockwood.

Wartburg Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Sunbright, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Wartburg Central came up short against Sunbright in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 41-37. Can Wartburg Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
